CURRENT:

The High Mogul Residence

The High Mogul Residence is a custom home being built in the Prospect subdivision in Mt. Crested Butte, Colorado. The design of this home has been inspired by the grand lodges located in U.S. National Parks including Glacier National Park and Yosemite National Park. Detailed masonry, intricate beam work, and unique sustainable building design make this home truly one of a kind.

PAST:

The Tipple House

The Tipple House is a unique residential project built to capture the imagination and spirit of the new Crested Butte. Not simply inspired by the past, the building embraces the character of our rich mining heritage and brings it up to date with the benefit of innovative architectural and environmental design. Constructed using an imaginative combination of locally reclaimed, natural and new materials, the Tipple House sets a bold new standard for progressive building practices and mountain-friendly sustainable development.

The Tipple House is named for the main highlight of the house as you can see clearly in the first slide below. A Tipple is it is the place where the mine cars were tipped and emptied of their coal.
